Sakura
http://ameblo.jp/angerme-ayakawada/entry-12364236902.htmlEven within my mind, the sakura trees in full bloom do not stay that way for very long.
How do I get them to remain beautiful, blooming forever? As it stands, they might as well get it over with and shed all their flowers right now.
And yet… I wish that they’ll once again be in full bloom a year from now.

There’s something poetic about Ayacho’s blogs.

Someone translate this.

Lyrical Killer Ayacho

Ahh… This is bad…

Obviously something must’ve happened to her… (laughs)

This reads like a modern translation of an ancient waka poem.

花の色は うつりにけりな いたづらに
わが身世にふる ながめせしまにHana no iro wa utsurinikeri na itazura ni
wa ga mi yo ni furu nagame seshi ma niThe flowers withered,
Their color faded away,
While meaninglessly
I spent my days in the world
And the long rains were falling.

Poem by Ono no Komachi or by Wada Ayaka?

Maro: “5 points.“

She’s begun to resemble Fukuda Maro.

I feel bad for Ayacho.

It’s true though that seeing the sakura makes one’s heart ache…
39: 名無し募集中。。。 2018/03/29(木) 21:39:14.78 0.net
For me, when I see the sakura in full bloom, I can’t help but think about whether or not I’ll still be alive when they’re blooming again next year; whether I’ll have the willpower to keep going or not…

Ayacho… nothing lasts forever.

Someone from ANGERME must be graduating. Ayacho always feels like she wants to aim for perfection with the members they have right now, and yet, someone always keeps leaving…

She must be of the age when one starts wanting to write stuff like this.

Is this a diss towards “sakura fever fever“…?

She must still hold a grudge for not being able to attend her coming-of-age ceremony…

The poor thing…
Something painful must’ve happened to her recently.

I feel like Wada-san is a bit of a strange person.

You think?

Even Ayacho herself is constantly repeating the act of putting on make-up and then washing it off. She simply can’t keep make-up on her face permanently.
That’s just the way flowers are.

Deepest. Idol. Ever.
How deep?
Probably around this deep:
There’s actually audio of the Bee Gees writing that song. It’s so god damn satisfying listening to this and hearing 8:05~ when they finally figure out what those chords in the chorus are supposed to be.
Imagine having this kind of thing for all your favorite songs.
Nothing gold can stay.

She wrote that blog entry just a few days before announcing her own graduation.
But Snow, there will be no eternal flower, you yourselves said that to Lily,,
Sorrow surrounds happiness, they say.
Perfection is hard to achieve, true. But it’s hard to maintain as well.
Lots of translations lately. Thanks for spoiling us Henkka. :)
My pleasure. Lots of fun threads popping up lately!
More than Ono no Komachi, this reminded me of another poem about sakura and the impermanence of life, but by Ariwara no Narihira:
If sakura did not exist
How quiet would it be
How calm could I have lived this season
This sound like perfect lyrics for a song. It’s strange that “song” and “poem” are the same word in Japanese.
