When I heard Musume’s Get you!, I couldn’t help but have this feeling that it was some other group singing it. Ultimately, it’s the Tsunku songs that suit Musume the best.

I so get that. When I was just your average junior high schooler with no knowledge of H!P, I’d find myself weirdly liking those Inazuma Eleven songs and getting perfect scores on all the Rhythm Tengoku songs. It was inevitable I’d end up hooked on H!P. (laughs)

I totally understand what Maa-chan is saying. I love Tsunku♂-san’s songs, too. I wish he’d return as H!P’s producer. I want to put together a written petition and send it to H!P.

Honestly, when their sales started to drop I was thinking they really ought to try some other songwriters. But then when they actually did, the lyrics just didn’t have nearly the same punch to them. The only lyricists I like are Ameko and that Akai Kouen person. But then again, I guess even Terada won’t write songs like that anymore.

He replied to a fan asking about it that while he has been writing brighter songs for Musume, they’re always turned down. I believe he’s still completely capable of writing all kinds of different songs.

Tsunku songs are great, but they’re also way too difficult to sing in karaoke.

I was just listening on shuffle and it went from “Jealousy Jealousy” to “Itsumo to Onnaji Seifuku de.” The breadth of his material really is amazing. A lot of people seemed to dislike “Seishun Kozou” when it first came out, but I loved it from the first time I heard it and I still can’t get sick of it. ♪ I also like “Tokyo to Iu Katasumi de.”

It’s been eight years since I started listening to H!P and I just can’t seem to get bored of it. I wish H!P continues to go on forever so more and more people can find out about Tsunku’s songs.

Maa-chan has a good sense of rhythm so it’s no wonder she likes Tsunku-san’s songs. On an MC during this past Spring tour she was saying how “it’s our job as Morning Musume to convey Tsunku-san’s songs to you.” Tsunku-san must be someone really special to Maa-chan!

I’m now going to say something I’ve been wanting to say for the looongest time!!

Well, I will.

You know…!!

For the longest time, I’ve felt like I still don’t fully understand Tsunku♂-san. I’m still unable to sing his songs while fully getting the rhythm. I’m still not able to clearly explain some of his lyrics. I’m just not there yet. That’s how I feel. (And it’s not just a feeling either.)

Recently on our Naruchika and Spring tours I got to sing many of his songs, and I’ve been talking to lots of people about how “this song is very Tsunku♂-san like” or how “this thing reminds me of Tsunku♂-san.“

In doing so, I realized something…

Compared to other artists, the variety in Tsunku♂’s songs is on a whole other level! It’s to the point where, honestly, it made me feel that if one of his songs started playing, I might not even be able to tell if it was written by him or not. Tsunku♂-san has written so many different songs. It’s impossible to see a clear pattern. So often when I hear a new song of his, I’m like “woooowww, no way! （≧∇≦）” His repertoire is so huge it’s amazing.

I’ve never once gotten bored of Tsunku♂-san’s music — my friends and family call it “Tsunku♂ Magic.”

I’m glad I got to stand beside Tsunku♂-san as part of Morning Musume.
