I just look like your everyday old man, but she’s always really polite towards me. She always shakes my hand with a big smile and then gives me a very deep bow when I’m leaving. I think she might be mistaking me for someone from her work.

That’s never happened to me either, but after shaking hands with other members and walking past the exit of Maa-chan’s booth, I’ve seen her hiding under the table as well as in the shadows behind a board. But the thing is, she doesn’t look like she’s up to mischief or anything… her facial expression is dead serious and emotionless. It’s pretty scary actually.

Talking with Maa-chan after getting our polaroid taken:

Maa: “Congratulations! So how old are you?”
Me: “It’s a secret.”
Maa: “How old are you?!”

Maa: “400 years old?”
Me: “Yep, the same as you!”
Maa: “So 400!”
From today onwards when someone asks me, I’m going to say I’m 400 years old.
