Harunan talk show report:

Harunan has been in daily contact with Haa-chin after her graduation. The other day Haa-chin apparently sent her a selfie that showed her new hairstyle. Oh, and Harunan apparently gave Haa-chin an “A-friendly” swimsuit as a graduation gift. (laughs)

Question: “What are Triple A’s future plans?” (Note: “Triple A” is what Iikubo, Ogata, and Kudo call themselves for being flat as a pancake.)

Iikubo-san: Triple A has its own LINE group, and it’s like this information exchange spot where we discuss things that have reportedly been effective and produced good results… But so far, no one in the group has said anything as to any of these things actually working for them. All three of us are going to keep aiming for “progress” on this front.

When they first announced her graduation, I wished that she wouldn’t leave the group yet. But then actually seeing her graduation concert, it felt like maybe this was actually the perfect happy ending for her.

– Her looks — pale skin; face that would become all squished even when she just smiled gently
– Noticeable improvement in her singing and dancing
– That air of modesty (would always put others before herself)
– Showed us her absolutely cutest form at her graduation concert

It feels like there’d be a lot of people for whom she wasn’t their oshi per se, but who came to see her appeal at her graduation concert and have have since then started feeling a sense of loss. The sheer loveliness she had at that concert was as if she took all the brilliance that she was going to gain in the upcoming years and she condensed it all into that one single night.

A normal girl who looked up to Sayashi got to join Morning Musume, the group she so admired. She soon got to learn the hard way the difference in level that existed between her and the other members… and the resulting frustration and hardship. And yet, in the end she got to graduate at Budokan as an idol that everyone loves, with everyone feeling sorry to see her go.

She may not have been a part of the main plot line in H!P’s long-running story… but her “side story” had an amazingly happy ending.

Ogata’s graduation was something that made me realize how it’s a good thing when the group and its members aren’t perfect. And in that sense, someone like Ogata really was essential for Musume.
